Objectives

MERCI envision to achieve specified objectives for different groups of people. Mainly, it has been divided into three different categories – Objectives for the project in relation to BWS, objectives for the volunteers and objectives for our beneficiaries.

Gather a more consistent group of volunteers for BWS by increasing our returning volunteers

Empower existing skills in care for others and become increasingly open-minded through acts of community service

Through this project, we hope that beneficiaries can:

Gain emotional and social support through our volunteers

Criteria

What are the requirements to join MERCI as a volunteer?

Recruiting youth volunteers aged 15 to 26

The volunteer event is held on a Saturday, once or twice a month dependant on the discussion of the team, and the availability of the beneficiaries! A commitment for a year is mandatory.

What is expected of a volunteer?

Event planning, marketing, event briefing and more! Roles & Responsibilities will be disseminated by the planning team. Volunteer's Code of conduct will be covered during volunteer orientation. Joining us is as simple as filling up our Google form. See you then!

What will we do during the engagement sessions?

Sessions are curated by YOU and the team so you guys will decide the performances/activities! Past sessions organised themed guess-the-word/animal/place, karaoke, keyboard/singing performance, charades and more with the seniors.
