General Volunteers Association of Macao & J.O.E. Eco Alliance

Blossom World Society was pleased to be able to host the General Volunteers Association of Macao yesterday to discuss and share different initiatives across the organizations in our collective efforts towards creating awareness to the detrimental effects of the prevalent environmental issue. Mr Phillip Chan, President of Kowloon Club, Mr Ogawa Joe, Chairman of J.O.E. and Mdm. Zhou Hai Yan, President of J.O.E. Eco Alliance all turned up to this event together with Mr Daren Ong, President Blossom World Society and Jennifer Goh, Vice President and Co-Founder of Blossom World Society.

Yuling represented BWS’s Project C.P.R. and shared with everyone on what we have accomplished for the past 3 years, as well as our U.O.A. (Understand, Observe, Apply) method in trying to share our environmental knowledge with the participants and students of our activities. To allow participants to first understand the gravity of the situation, then to give them the time to observe their surrounding and lastly to give them the opportunity to apply what they have learnt. We also shared more about our major event that happened on the 20th & 21st July, Plastic-less July at Westgate.

It was a fruitful and enriching sharing session where each group shared valuable insights and information that allowed us to see the varying challenges faced in different countries and how we should go about overcoming them. Through this sharing we also saw common barriers in our execution of our awareness campaigns despite being in different countries, and how we managed to surpass them.

We would like to thank everyone who’s a part of the sharing session, and their persistent efforts towards volunteering and helping others. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude towards Mr Philip Chan and J.O.E. Eco Alliance for providing us with this opportunity. To a better and greener future, we march!
