Coastal Cleanup @ Pasir Ris Park

"You are all making a difference. You may not see it, but you definitely are." - from a passerby who saw the group of you Earth Loving Individual, doing your part for the environment. Kudos!

For the past few months, the Project C.P.R. Team visited Pasir Ris Park for Coastal Cleanup with 9 March being their latest visit. During these visits, there is always a lot of litter being washed onto the shore. And the worst thing is that these litter almost always consists of styrofoam.

Styrofoam (Styrene - a component of polystyrene))- is non-biodegradable and appears to last forever (it requires more than a million years to decompose according to Cleveland Sate University.)

As our awareness grows, we will be more conscientious in our efforts to protect the environment and to move towards Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot (The 5 R’s of zero waste: Refuse what you don’t need. Reduce what you do need. Reuse by using reusables. Recycle what you can’t refuse, reduce, or reuse. Rot (compost) the rest)

Hope to see you guys again! Let’s continue to strive for the environment and work towards bettering our lives!
