Singapore:
Do you know that, according to NEA waste statistics and overall recycling figures in 2016, ONLY a mere 7% of plastic waste disposed in 2016 was recycled?
The remaining 93%, measuring up to 703,200 tonnes of waste were incinerated or landfilled. THAT is doing a lot of DAMAGE to our environment and our HEALTH!!!
HOWEVER, just by making simple changes to our lives, YOU can be the DIFFERENCE MAKER to save the environment!
Coastal Cleanup
Mission: "Spring Clean" our Pasir Ris Park to a beach free of plastic waste!
Date: 09 March 2019, Saturday
Time: 10am - 1pm
Venue: Pasir Ris Park (details to be provided at a later date via email and sms)
As our awareness grows, we will be more conscientious in our efforts to protect the environment…
“No matter our age, our circumstances, or abilities… Each one of us can create something remarkable with out lives”
We are so happy and honoured to have 100 overs of like-minded people like you from all over the world, of different races joining us on Saturday, 18 November 2017! It was not just a typical cleanup activity as every piece of plastic that we picked up may indirectly save a live.
Despite the shower and thunderstorm, our spirit remain high for the mangrove coastal cleanup and 30 of us collected a total of 48kg of litter just along the small stretch of coastline along Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
